Chain transfer agent mainly used in low temperature free-radical polymerisation. It is used as a molecular weight regulator for butadiene and styrene based industries such as butadiene latex (SBL) and synthetic rubbers (SBR butadiene styrene rubber and NBR butadiene nitrile rubber), ABS, polystyrene (PS) and styrene lacquers;
TDM can also be used for curing various monomers such as vinyl chloride and chlorofractoroethylene;
Used as an intermediate product in the synthesis of high-pressure additives, flavors, non-ionic surfactants and fungicides.
