DOWTHERM thermal fluids are synthetic oils designed to meet the high demands on system performance, protection and safety. They include technologies optimized for applications ranging from geothermal heat pumps and other water-based systems to food and beverage processing; and from pharmaceutical and polymer processing to concentrated solar power generation.

DOWTHERM A, which has been used in industrial heat exchange systems for over 60 years, is the preferred product for indirect heating installations in a wide range of applications. It is a stable, fast decomposition-free heat transfer fluid at high temperatures that can be used effectively in both liquid and vapour phase systems.
The low viscosity over the entire operating range ensures efficient heat exchange and minimizes system start-up problems. The thermal fluid is not corrosive in relation to conventional metals and alloys.
